Rank# offense pitching Rank# + / - Division W - L Win% Index Diff.
1 1 1 1 0 Fuller Furies Weaver 39 - 12 0.765 117.56 13.24 - best start in BDSL history and no reason to think they wont keep rolling along.
2 2 2 2 0 Columbia Senators Weaver 27 - 23 0.540 94.40 -4.42 - 12-13 in May despite +15 run diff. We expect winning to resume in June.
3 5 3 4 1 Bay City Barracudas Anderson 30 - 24 0.556 89.41 -1.24 - Off dropped a bit but Pch imprv from #6 to #3. Solid rankings so should be in Div mix.
4 3 9 6 2 Barnett Shale Drillers Alston 26 - 20 0.565 83.70 0.00 - Pre season Off ranking of #16 looking way off base so was overall ranking of #12?
5 14 3 16 11 Sleepytown Dukes Anderson 22 - 26 0.458 82.63 16.70 - look like they are back after a 1-month hiatus. Amazingly up 16 spots!
6 10 5 3 (3) Decatur Diamond Dawgs Alston 29 - 22 0.569 82.34 -9.45 - small down tick but still surprisingly impressive results after presason prediction of #19.
7 9 8 7 0 Palm Beach Elks Anderson 23 - 26 0.469 82.21 -0.74 - bad results in May at 9-14 but ranking held. Question is whether it was bad luck or reality?
8 3 11 13 5 Oregon Pioneers Alston 26 - 23 0.531 80.28 9.53 - As predicted they recoverd nicely in May especially Pch which imprv from #17 to #11.
9 5 11 9 0 Thunderbay Black Jacks Anderson 29 - 21 0.580 78.66 1.66 - Pch at #11 still not where we expect but they are getting the wins so who can complain.
10 17 5 11 1 Chicago Outlaws Alston 29 - 22 0.569 77.00 1.62 - another tm that’s getting the wins but still ranked way lower than predicted.
10 12 9 12 2 Savannah Shoeless Joes Alston 24 - 27 0.471 77.00 1.70 - pretty much performing as expected which unfortunately will leave them short of playoffs.
12 5 16 17 5 New York City Commuters Martin 24 - 24 0.500 72.25 8.27 - Off improv from #12 to #5 & wins followed. Expectation for further imprv in June.
12 5 16 8 (4) Wellington Knights Martin 22 - 28 0.440 72.25 -8.10 - Pch dropped dramatically now closer to where predicted & loses followed.
14 14 11 5 (9) Kingston Thunder Weaver 23 - 26 0.469 71.79 -16.58 - free fall in May results in only 8 wins after impressive Apr. Should still compete for WC#2.
15 10 15 14 (1) LaGrange Lone Gunmen Weaver 24 - 24 0.500 70.46 3.25 - better than expected Off pushes them to .500 which will keep them in hunt for WC#2
16 19 5 9 (7) North Hollywood Hornets Martin 23 - 26 0.469 67.12 -9.88 - Darryl finally hit in May but didn’t imprv Off & translated to less wins.
17 12 18 15 (2) San Diego Aztecs Martin 25 - 24 0.510 65.72 -0.76 - Leads div despite being ranked #17 this can't continue … but what happens is the question?
18 19 11 19 1 Vegas Velvet Knights Weaver 16 - 33 0.327 60.28 1.28 - doesn’t look to be VVK's year as they just don’t have the Off to get it done this season.
19 14 19 18 (1) Toronto Crown Royals Martin 19 - 28 0.404 58.47 -4.88 - 11-12 in May is better than Apr. Needs continued imprv in June to get into the race.
20 17 20 20 0 London Rippers Anderson 14 - 35 0.286 54.26 -3.34 - unfortunately we think they have found their home for 1984 at #20.
Top 5 Recap
Fuller not only retains the top spot but they are running away from the pack as their lead increased to +23.16pts over #2 Columbia.  Including
pre season, this now makes it 3 straight at #2 for Columbia as the Weaver division continues to hold the 2 top spots. Bay City moves up one spot
from #4 to #3 while Barnett Shale moves up two spots from #6 into the top 5 at #4. However, the real story is Sleepytown, who started at #6 in
pre season, dropped all the way to #16 after April but then jumped up 16 spots to #5 after May. Decatur left the top 5 this month as they dropped
from #3 to #6, but they didn’t fall as badly as Kingston  who are following the opposite track from Sleepytown. Kingston moved up 11 spots after
April to take the #5 spot but fell out of the top 5 after May falling 9 spots to #14.
