Top 5 Recap
Sleepytown tightens their hold on #1 as they increase their lead over #2 LaGrange from 2.8 pts to 8.28 pts. LaGrange must now look in their review mirror
as Oregon catches fire jumping from #8 to #3. If Oregon can string together another month like July, they could challenge LaGrange for the #2 spot. 
New York City returns to the #4 spot after a 1-month holiday down at #6. Philadelphia drops from #3 to #5 but is only 1.41 pts ahead of Barnett Shale who 
is odd man out of the top 5 this month.
Other Items of Interest
* Oregon bumps Milton as the #1 ranked offense, while Sleepytown holds on as the #1 ranked pitching staff but is joined this time by Philadelphia.
* Sleepytown has been the #1 ranked team for every period during 1982 and 1983, except for April 1983 when LaGrange held the spot.
* Philadelphia sits at #4 (last month was #3) and has the honor of being the worse record ever to be ranked in the top 5. The only other team to be ranked
 in top 5 with a sub.500 record was Columbia in June 1982 at .494.
* In 3 seasons of BDWL and now 1 season of BDSL, the #1 ranked preseason team has never won the Championship.
* Oregon represented the WJL in World Series despite a #11 ranking at season's end. 
* Oregon reached the playoffs despite being a #15 ranking in pch at seasons's end and Decatur reached playoffs despite a #15 ranking in off at season's end.

Teams on the rise: Oregon up 5 spots (#8 to #3) and Thunder Bay (#18 to #16), New York City (#6 to #4) & Wellington (#13 to #11) up 2 spots.
Team heading south: Savannah down 4 spots (#4 to #8), Decatur down 3 spots (#15 to #18) and Philadelphia down 2 spots (#3 to #5).
